Optimized Physician Productivity of a Large Health System

Using the assess, design, deploy and sustain methodology in a large Health System, drove improvement with 330 providers’ (physician and APPs) productivity and contractual employment commitments. Comprehensively analyzed capacity and throughput, with focus on patient access and lead time to services.  Presented future state recommendation, design work-plan, and roadmap. Implemented patient flow, data capture, telephone routing re-design, appointment scheduling optimization through staged pilots and implementation. Delivered “Provider Optimization and Sustainment Playbook” covering all aspects of project and recommendations for growth, change and forward movement. 



Improved Financial Accuracy by Aligning Payor Contractual Terms/Language and Technology

Aligned the Chargemaster, Top 20 payor contractual terms and reimbursement, to drive increased revenue recognition accuracy. Operationalized EPIC system contract management functionality, updating both the facility and professional component data. Implemented and trained team on internal control methodology and processes for long term maintenance and sustainability in large health system. 


Developed and Implemented Comprehensive Plan for Financial/Operational Improvement

Analyzed, assessed, formalized and successfully implemented a 30, 60, 90 day financial and operational improvement plan for a large outsource billing operation. Decreased AR days by 24% by means of cash collections, operational changes, and recovery of aged AR; not write-offs. Provided benchmarks and metrics to guide leadership in monitoring financial and operational results going forward. Fostered cultural change towards a collaborative, empowered team environment, driving better results and retention of staff and clients’ long term.


Consolidated Post-Acquisition Strategy and Operations

Successfully transitioned three acquired Genetic Testing Laboratory operations, combining all revenue cycle services into a centralized corporate business office. Integrated XiFin LIS and XiFin RPM technology, resulting in data driven change, efficiency, financial improvement, and increased cash collections and visibility.
